I spent last Saturday with my new friend, Marisa. We shot everything at my house, which was such a nice change to going out on location. We sat around, drank coffee, ate cookies, and talked about life- it was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Get ready to hear her name again, cause she’s gonna be a famous author- I just have a feeling about it… Here she is!

We had way too much fun together at this senior pic shoot. She may actually be just as goofy and weird as Matt and me. We danced, we laughed, we had a good time. Thanks for making work so much fun Rachel! Hope you love them!

sidecar adventure: to big bend

I was M.I.A. for about 8 days- and where else would I be, other than in our sidecar! We trekked about 800 some miles to the desert to camp out in the backcountry of big bend. We were ready to come home and rest after 4 days of no showers. I didn’t take any of my good cameras, due to weight and space restraints- but instead had fun with our little canon. And… yes…. I am the coolest wife ever for going on these trips with Matt.

I had an amazing time taking pictures of Heather about two week ago, and am just now getting around to posting them on here. She’s my parents next door neighbor- and I’ve watched this beautiful girl grow up. Complete insanity that she’s graduating now and headed on to one of the top schools in Texas. heyo. so i realize it’s been like a solid two months since i posted anything on here… but… something happened to my blog and i couldn’t figure out how to sign back in. thanks to my genuis web guy/friend, steven, i was able to share with y’all once again what i’ve been shooting these days.
so here are shots from last weekends weekend at the san fernando cathedral. also!!! this was the premiere wedding with my newest assistant- who happens to be my yummy hubster- matthew. he’s assisted me in other photo shoots before- and happens to be killer at panoramic landscapes- so i thought i’d drag him along with me and see how he liked it. he did amazing- as was expected- and we ended up with some deliciously fun shots of these two.

just got back from my childhood town where i shot two different weddings… and i have to say- andy and raechel’s wedding was the most fun i’ve had working in a long long time. (it didn’t hurt that my best friend was a bridesmaid in the wedding and the groom was her brother- or that i’ve known that side of the family since i was in the womb). we danced till my feet were aching and the groom’s mother took black mail pictures to prove it. i can’t help it- i like to get down. here are some shots of the two of them- looking extra hot.

well, it was about time i met matt. i had heard lots of stories about him from my best friend, sara. they were co-workers- and business partners. i was very honored to be a part of this wedding- and had a great time too. here are some shots of the crazy day!
