D.C. lovin’
Sarah and Jasper (how cool is that name!!) flew down from D.C.- and I had the great pleasure of taking their engagement photos on Thursday. I did my first ever cooking engagement shoot- and it was RADICAL. Did you know that you can actually buy pancake mix- ready to go- in a Cheese Whiz type container? True story. Check out these two crazies. (And look for Sarah jumping in the pool at the end. She is my hero.)

Wowza.
Andrea is crazy beautiful… We took these photos about a week and a half ago- but had to keep them top secret until the wedding that happened last night. I can’t wait to post some photos of the beautiful wedding- but be looking for it in about a week or so.

So forgive me…
but I had to post a LOT of photos of these two. Lisa and R.T. have been on our bff friend list for years and years- and basically like family- as Matt and R.T. were in Grey Holiday together. We had a re-donk-u-lous time at R.T.’s ranch. Instead of writing a lot more about the day- why don’t you just look…. (notice R.T. checking out Lisa in at least 50% of the tennis photos…. classy). We love you two.

Viking hats, sombreros, kites, and orange skies…
Alison (my crazy summer intern) and I had a fabulous time with these two lovebirds- Marissa and Rob. I’ve known Marissa for quite a few years now- as she was super involved in a community ministry downtown that we often work with (Operation Restoration). Everyone that knows Marissa adores her- and I was excited to finally meet Rob- the lucky guy that won her over. We had a great time running around the ranch, attempting to fly a kite, playing dress up with crazy hats, and laughing at Rob’s amazing impersonations.

scott and katie.
Scott and Katie got married this past weekend at the Bushnell… luv-a-leeeeee. Peach flowers, plus a twilight sun pouring into a white room, plus a string quartet, plus a crazy gorgeous bride= my favorite way to spend a Saturday evening. From there- we all floated up to the balcony where they danced, ate, and watched the sunset- with the most stellar view of our downtown I’ve ever seen. And…. here are the lovebirds.

Anniversary with lovebug.
Matt and I took a few days off taking photos of everyone else- and went to Corpus/Port Aransas to celebrate our 4th anniversary. I can’t believe how time has flown by… Lots has happened in these past four years. We’ve moved, we’ve traveled to many different countries, he was signed to a label and had a blast as a singer/musician for a few years, I lived in Africa, he wrote his first draft of a book, I survived malaria, we became proud owners of 4-oh yes- 4 ridiculous motorcycles, our family grew as we welcomed Bacon into it (we love our little dumpster dog so much), we found our favorite hobby together- scuba diving, we became an aunt and uncle- and godparents, we became home owners, and we’ve had an absolute blast this whole time…. growing in love and understanding. Awe….. (that was for you Matty). ; )

Gabby and Paul
I had such a great time at Hotel Contessa this past weekend photographing Gabby and Paul’s wedding celebration. The whole thing was so beautifully decorated, and I especially loved Gabby’s crazy gorgeous dress. They said their vows on the second floor of the hotel, outside, overlooking the riverwalk. The reception was on the first floor in this very- Texan- limestone walled- banquet room. It was super cozy and intimate, and matched perfectly with the ceremony. Check out their fancy table settings- and awesome wedding cake. The food was phenomenal, the music was perfect, and the people were so funny and kind. There were so many special moments- as their children played such important roles in the ceremony and reception. Gabby’s son walked her down the aisle, Paul’s son was his best man, and his daughter got the special dance after the bride and groom. Check it out.

Cecilia and Jim
Matt and I had the most fabulous time with these two families last weekend… I mean…. a really, really fabulous time. Between the phenomenal 80’s cover band, the flirty mariachis, the best homemade barbeque, and probably the nicest families I’ve met in a while- we didn’t know what to do with ourselves. It was a great family affair… her mom made the dress, her sister made the cake, her other sister sang at the wedding, and her uncle made the barbecue. It was a wedding we won’t soon forget- and that dancing….
