Got a bundle of new greeting card available on the etsy store… I’ve been sending them out to friends, and thought some of you might like to have some too.

we’re leaving in less than a week for st. john- in the u.s. virgin islands!! we’re celebrating our 3rd anniversary- and decided to stay at maho bay campgrounds- because of the eco-friendly environment and amazing treehouses. i can’t wait to show all of you the pictures when we return- but here is a sneak peek for both of us! wish all of you could come so we could have a big party!

Brother and I have been swimming in the Guadalupe River for a few different days searching for flat rocks… We’re working on an amazing outdoor porch table- and are in need. We got our parents to go out there with us last week- and mom found two different rocks that look like hearts… This one especially. Thought you would enjoy. I’m thinking of placing both of them at the heads of the 10 foot long table…. hearts in front of me and Mattie. ha. I originally took the photo to put it in the upcoming My Heart Wanders book- but decided to not send it in- basically because I kept putting it off- thinking I’d come up with something more clever… Here’s the link to Pia’s blog… I go there everyday- reading it is like drinking coffee for me… It does something that sort of helps me see clearer. http://blog.piajanebijkerk.com/

getting ready for the new website. here’s a sneak peak.

here are some lake shots with hubs and bro. we had a great time relaxing and trying to kill each other on the tube. thankfully everyone was nervous to operate my camera while i was riding- so i have no embarrassing photos of me making frightened faces. i did get completely massacred once and even managed to lose an earring. i’m so tough…

it’s hot out!! i’ve been having a lot of fun watching people’s reaction to our new bike… you really don’t see many sidecars in san antonio, so people always stare us down. the kids love it- and generally open their mouths wide open… the adults point at us- and every once in a while someone honks or waves (which i love). without question- every time we take it to the grocery store we stand outside for an extra ten minutes to talk to people who have stopped to ask questions about it in the parking lot. my favorite was when a little kid was sitting in the sidecar while we went in to pay for gas a few months ago. so… if you’re in san antonio and wanna get stared down- call me up. i can make it happen. ; ) thought you might wanna see a picture of our bike…

just put a pre-order on this book… can’t wait to get it in the mail. spent about half an hour this afternoon looking at the photographers in it. i feel inspired to go out and do some new polaroids myself. hmm. maybe some gnome shots??

i decided to add some greeting cards to my new etsy store… i think it’s a lost art. we should all take some time this week to write someone a note- and tell them we love them. here’s one of my favs.
