I will be leaving in about four weeks… moving to Uganda to work as a photojournalism intern for Invisible Children. Please keep all of us (Ugandans, NGO workers, IC staff, and IC interns) in your prayers. I urge all of you to visit IC’s website to learn more about this war that has been raging in Uganda for more than 20 years: (www.invisiblechildren.com). I am so excited to learn how another culture lives and loves… I can only imagine that through this war they have endured hardships that I know nothing about- but I am excited about the opportunity to witness their hope- I pray that it is alive and well. I will try my hardest to bring home images that stir up emotions in all of you- to be exposed to something that isn’t in your everyday lives. So that, even for a moment we will all take time to pray for one another.
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achiving for us an external glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Cor. 4:16-18
