If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.

these past two and a half months…

so much has happened… i have been very busy exploring some national parks and having fun with my sweet, sweet husband- in between his trips to Nashville and other far off cities. In late April we got in our car and drove off with no real plans or expectations- and ended up having two of the best weeks of my life. We drove through New Mexico and Arizona and into California- going through Joshua Tree and a few ghost towns… all the way up the coast. We started in L.A. and drove about an hour north of San Francisco. I wanted to make sure he saw the redwood forests… Then we set off for Yosemite…. this was the first time either of us had visited the park- and it just so happened to be the perfect time of year. The waterfalls were still going down in full force- and it was just chilly enough to enjoy our eight hour hike up the side of a mountain. Our guide was one of the most lovely people I have ever met- our 86 year old camp site neighbor- who has been visiting Yosemite since the 20’s. He told us how the park has changed- and about his life as a code breaker in WW2- and his many adventures climbing the world’s most magnificient mountains. I will always remember our time with him in Yosemite and his stories…
