I had a day to explore in California last week and this is what I discovered… The Flower Fields in Carlsbad.

I had such a great time celebrating Emily’s birthday and seeing my friends Will, Betsy, Branigan, and Emily. Here’s us being awesome.

I was sitting in my office this morning looking at my “Tahiti Green” Painted walls- thinking my life needed some change- and I noticed I only had one photo up of a photography I did about five years- so I started thinking about all of the great places I’ve been- and how no one could tell that from walking around my house…. So…. I finally finished the edits on the safari pictures- along with some other fine art pieces I did last month- and have sent them off to get printed. Thought you might like to see some of the shots. ; )

my sweet husband bought me this for Christmas and I LOVE it. Here are some photos from the first two rolls…
matthew. looking cool…

bacon’s (our dog) glamour shot…

lindsay looking gorgeous, as usual…

and california. another love of mine…

Friends. I know… I’ve been so bad at updating my blog. I promise if you were here you’d understand. So- I thought I’d let my photos speak for me as to what I’ve been doing lately. I hope this finds all of you happier than ever. I can’t wait to get back and see all of your faces on December 17th. Love and peace!

I’m so sorry it’s taken me a long time to post something… but the internet is unbearably slow here. i will try to post a few shots every few weeks- so you can see what i’ve been working on. these are a few of some friends i’ve made here… by just walking around town. love and blessings to all of you!

my friends. i am so sorry i have neglected to write until now. the internet was very slow in rwanda, and i was afraid i would be stuck on it forever trying to put pictures for you all to see. rwanda was unbelievably beautiful… between hanging out with mountain gorillas and visiting child run villages- i had plenty to photograph and experience. we spent a great deal of time with the bishop, which was an incredible experience and one i will not soon forget. visiting the genocide museum and talking with our driver who survived- despite losing his entire family- gave me a deeper understanding of suffering… it suddenly became much more real. i know god is working within my heart to prepare me for something much greater than i could imagine- i can definitely feel it… i am so grateful for the things i’ve seen, the people i’ve met, and the things i’ve learned. it has grown me up a bit… and given me a great deal of hope. i am presently in the belgium/amsterdam area. i will post a few pictures of my surroundings in the next day or two. love to you all.

One of my new year’s resolution was to take a ride in a hot air balloon… and I did it! It was so peaceful and beautiful. My family loved it- all except Jennifer- who remained in the center of the basket the entire time, clutching the sides. I didn’t really realize that there would be no turbulence- and you’re going with the wind- so it’s really quiet. I hope you all get a chance to fly in the sky someday…
