anne and guy.

heyo. so i realize it’s been like a solid two months since i posted anything on here… but… something happened to my blog and i couldn’t figure out how to sign back in. thanks to my genuis web guy/friend, steven, i was able to share with y’all once again what i’ve been shooting these days.
so here are shots from last weekends weekend at the san fernando cathedral. also!!! this was the premiere wedding with my newest assistant- who happens to be my yummy hubster- matthew. he’s assisted me in other photo shoots before- and happens to be killer at panoramic landscapes- so i thought i’d drag him along with me and see how he liked it. he did amazing- as was expected- and we ended up with some deliciously fun shots of these two.

O-H-I-O

just got back from my childhood town where i shot two different weddings… and i have to say- andy and raechel’s wedding was the most fun i’ve had working in a long long time. (it didn’t hurt that my best friend was a bridesmaid in the wedding and the groom was her brother- or that i’ve known that side of the family since i was in the womb). we danced till my feet were aching and the groom’s mother took black mail pictures to prove it. i can’t help it- i like to get down. here are some shots of the two of them- looking extra hot.

matt and nikole…

well, it was about time i met matt. i had heard lots of stories about him from my best friend, sara. they were co-workers- and business partners. i was very honored to be a part of this wedding- and had a great time too. here are some shots of the crazy day!

so. ryan and i think steven’s pretty awesome. we got up early today and drove downtown to take his senior pictures. we’re crossing our fingers that he’ll have the most bodacious photos in his high school… and maybe even snag a girlfriend with the shots. ; ) (momma grossman: if you’re reading this- we loved your sweet son. he said really great things about you- and it made me smile. cheers to you. you raised a good one).

aight. i’m off to a rehearsal dinner for the big wedding tomorrow. woohoo!!

back home, for a while.

Matt and I had the greatest vacation- and spent the last ten days in mostly St. John sleeping in a treehouse. I had posted about the Maho Bay Campgrounds a few weeks ago… They’re doing a great job at staying ecological sound in a place that’s so easy to take advantage of. We had a lovely time sleeping next to the birds and lizards, and waking up right as the sun came up (5:45am!!) The sounds and bed reminded me of my time in Uganda, and I fell comfortably back into the swing of living with nature’s sounds. We spent the days climbing around to different ruins and lookout points, swimming in the beautiful ocean, snorkeling, sailing, and our favorite- diving. We saw sea turtles, octopus, and stingrays- along with a multitude of some of the best coral I’ve seen in years and some beautiful fish. It keeps me wondering why I haven’t purchased underwater casing for my camera yet. In the next few days I’ll be bringing you some new photos of that trip, along with some other treats. I hope the 4th brings you a lot of rest and fun with your friends and family! I know I’ll be thinking of my friends in the military especially today- along with all of those that served in the past. Thank you… so very much.

kelli and maurice.

i had such a lovely time taking photos of kelli and maurice two weekends ago… kelli is a super rad gal who i’m lucky to call a friend. she’s the first person i met in high school, when i was new to san antonio…. and she’s kept me laughing for many years now. it was the first time i met maurice, and i’m so excited kelli found such a sweet man… and good looking too! it was so great spending that evening with them. it was also a really special treat to have my brother shoot this session with me. i’m so excited at his hidden talent. looks like i have myself a permanent assistant. ; )

Got a bundle of new greeting card available on the etsy store… I’ve been sending them out to friends, and thought some of you might like to have some too.
